Toolkit

The 2007-2013 programming period offers new opportunities to organisations interested in transnational cooperation funded by the European Social Fund (ESF).

The ESF will support transnational cooperation in accordance with the strategies defined by Member States in their national and regional Operational Programmes (OPs) and actions are already underway to create conditions which will facilitate contacts between project promoters. For example, in order to support the exchange of information at a European level, Transnational Contact Points (TCPs) have been established in Member States, to act as liaison points. The TCPs are ESF managers responsible for implementing transnational operations under national and regional OPs in their region or Member State.

The European Commission is cooperating with TCPs in many ways and it is supporting the development and operation of the Toolkit, a web based system designed to facilitate exchange of information on transnational cooperation. In this context, the Italian TCP has undertaken to develop the Toolkit, with the guidance of a Steering Group composed of representatives from the Commission itself and several Member States (Austria, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Poland, Spain).

The Toolkit data base contains thousands of profiles of organisations interested in transnational cooperation, but only registered users will be allowed to consult the data base.

To become a registered user of the Toolkit and thus be included in the data base of potential transnational partners, you must sign up in the home page. As a registered user you will be able to modify your profile or unsubscribe at any time.

Please note that only regional and national ESF managing authorities are responsible for the implementation of transnational activities; from a practical point of view, this means that all information concerning funding of transnational projects (themes, forms of cooperation, procedures, application forms, etc.) is available only at national or regional level.
